Our Director

Deborah Ostrowski has over 20 years experience in the childcare education field. She holds her certification as a group teacher and was one of the first in New Jersey to receive her National Administrative Credentials. Deborah has sat on the New Jersey Child Care Advisory Board in Trenton. Deborah has been working in the childcare field in both a teaching and administrative capacity since 1990. She is a member in the New Jersey Child Care Association, National Child Care Association, and the National Association for the Education of the Young Children. Deborah is the mother of three children.

Sarah Ostrowski is Wee People’s Assistant Director and has over 7 years experience in the child development field. She has taught age groups from18 months to 3 years. Sarah has supervised the Wee People Summer Camp Program for last 2 years. Currently attends Centenary College, Hackettstown New Jersey and will complete a BA degree in Physiology and Business with a concentration in child development in 2005. Sarah has her certification as a Group Teacher and Director credentials

Our Staff

We are proud of our highly experienced professional staff. They were chosen not only for their educational background and qualifications but equally important for their warmth and nurturing abilities. Our staff has completed studies in Early Childhood Education and have years of experience working with children of this young age. All staff members have Division of Youth and Family Services background checks and are certified in CPR and First Aid. Our teaching staff receives 20 hours of training a year, and our assistants receive a minimum of 8 hours of training per year. Our staff believes that consistency is very important for young children. Regular routines, constant care, consistency in staffing, clearly defined limits and expectations help children to develop an internal sense of discipline. Wee People Pre School and Kindergarten also offers low student to teacher ratios. Our teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education or equivalent. We maintain an active membership in the New Jersey Association for the Education of Young Children and the New Jersey Childcare Association.
